The Association will achieve this objective through:
- Being a collective voice for owners and ex-owners to all relevant organisations
- Acting as arbitrator, advisor and dialogue channel for effective dispute resolution
- Collecting, organising and making available to members the relevant knowledge acquired by individual members
The Association will be managed on the member’s behalf by an elected committee comprising:
- Chairman (probably in the last 2 years of contract)
- Vice-Chairman (probably in the first 2 years of contract)
- Treasurer (Managing the money and presenting the accounts)
- Membership Secretary (managing communication with members and prospective members)
- Webmaster (managing the Sunsailowners.com web-site)
All committee members must be members of the Association in good standing and will be elected by a simple majority at each AGM of the Association. Any member in good standing may nominate his/herself to a committee role when requests for nominations are made.
The SOA is open to owners of yachts contracted to Sunsail as part of the Sunsail Yachting Partnership who have paid the appropriate membership fee.
